Scenario 1

Patient Admittance (Privakey ID)

A patient arrives at the hospital for admittance. The front desk staff scans the patient's ID and uses the Privakey ID technology to generate a unique QR code associated with the patient's identity. This QR code is printed on a wristband and given to the patient. The staff can now verify the patient's identity at any time by scanning the wristband with a mobile device equipped with the Privakey app. This ensures that the correct patient is always associated with their medical records and treatment plans.

Scenario 2

Medication Administration (Privakey StepUp)

A nurse is about to administer medication to a patient. To ensure the correct medication is given to the correct patient, the nurse scans the QR code on the patient's wristband using the Privakey app. This triggers a Privakey StepUp request, which requires the nurse to authenticate themselves via biometric verification (e.g., fingerprint or facial recognition). Once authenticated, the nurse receives confirmation that the medication is appropriate for the patient. This process ensures the patient receives the correct medication and reduces the risk of medical errors.

Scenario 3

Surgical Procedures (Privakey Events)

A patient is scheduled for surgery. Prior to the procedure, the surgical team scans the patient's wristband QR code using the Privakey app, which generates a Privakey Events request. This request requires all team members (doctors, nurses, anesthesiologists, etc.) to authenticate themselves via the Privakey app. The authentication data is logged, providing a clear record of each staff member's involvement in the procedure. Once all team members are authenticated, the surgery can proceed. This ensures that only authorized personnel are involved in the procedure and provides an audit trail for postoperative reviews.
